What is Pradhan MantriAwasYojana?

This scheme is for all sectors present in our society, which provides loan facility for homes for every class of people who are in need.

Firstly, this scheme was for poor, lower middle class and rural area people, but now this scheme can be profitable for the middle class and urban areas people also.

Firstly the amount of loan was up to 3 lakhs only but now this amount is raised up to 18 lakhs depending on several conditions.

Many people have doubts about documentary work under PMAY. Many times people get confused with conditions and documents to file for these schemes.

So we will describe this scheme’s categories, the sector of people, and the income of people who will be able to apply for this government scheme of 2018.

What should be Your Income Group?

PMAY is a scheme which will be available for an applicant for his/her house reinforcement from the government if he/she meets the eligibility criteria with required documents.

This scheme is categorized under six distinct groups –

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – Family having less than RS. 3 Lakh household income come under EWS category.
Light Income Group (LIG) – This category is for people whose household income comes from 3 lakh to 6 lakh.
Medium Income Group (MIG1) – A family whose annual household income is below 12 lakh fall under this category. This family can get up to Rs.9 lakhs loan.
Medium Income Group (MIG2) – A family earning annual household income between 12-18 lakhs fall under this category. This family can get up to Rs.12 lakhs loan.
Minorities – People belonging from SC/ST/OBC will come under minorities.
Women – Women belonging to EWS/LIG categories will be considered if they apply under the PMAY scheme.
To avail advantage of this scheme, there is a basic requirement an applicant has to meet. For instance, if the beneficiary is a family, it must comprise of a husband, wife, and unmarried children.

Also, no person from the family should own a house in their name.

Conditions for getting subsidy –

To avail benefit of Pradhan MantriAwasYojana, no one in family would benefited from this scheme earlier.
Family should not have a cemented house.
While applying for scheme, applicant must provide aadhar no. of all family members.
